  • Overview

    The primary purpose of the Retail Operations Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of all Di Bruno Bros. stores.  This individual will ensure compliance with Standard Operational Procedures in all areas of retail activity. He/She will train and manage retail managers and supervise/coordinate all related operational activities. He/she is responsible for ensuring that we exceed customer expectations, develop our Associates and meet both Company and departmental objectives.  

    Responsibilities

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Provide superior customer service as defined by Di Bruno Bros. within the scope of the position and Company policy 2. Manage staff in a manner consistent with Di Bruno Bros. philosophy of Servant Leadership by maximizing productivity, customer service and Associate satisfaction: a. Supervise retail managers in their daily responsibilities; effectively manage the performance and development of store management to drive and maximize sales performance b. Ensure compliance of retail managers with established department and Company policies and procedures, security, sales and record-keeping procedures and practices c. Coach and motivate retail managers to foster ongoing development and help them reach their potential d. Review retail manager training and development plans. Monitor, supervise and conduct evaluations. Participate in interviewing and hiring process. 3. Identify operational issues and develop realistic solutions to increase efficiency; make recommendations to reengineer operations and modify Standard Operating Procedures in order to increase productivity 4. Contribute proactively to the formulation and direction of retail strategy as well as implement and oversee projects 5. Work with functional departments such as Marketing, Merchandising, Marketing and Human Resources to implement retail-related projects 6. Effectively manage P & L within allocated budget in order to affect profitable performance 7. Conduct formal store inspections at a minimum of once per week and provide feedback to store and senior management 8. Communicate business objectives to store management to ensure they remain well-informed of business activity and their required contributions 9. Support management of customer service activities and staff competence to optimize and sustain sales performance and customer satisfaction 10. Ensure regulatory compliance for all retail locations 11. Ensure that mechanical systems at all retail locations are maintained and operating efficiently 12. Additional duties and projects as assigned

    Qualifications

     

    REQUIREMENTS  Bachelor’s degree preferred and at least 7 years of multi-site retail management or combination of education and experience   Ability to develop and manage a productive management team  Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective coaching skills  Ability to travel independently between business units, meetings and event locations as necessary  Ability to communicate with customers, staff and colleagues  Competency in Microsoft Suite  Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation  Strong analytical and mathematical skills  Detail-oriented and the ability to multi-task in stressful situations as well as adapt quickly to strategic change  Ability to move or handle product, orders and supplies  Ability to develop teams, delegate effectively and to prioritize when dealing with multiple tasks.  Ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business.
