    As a Senior Financial Analyst you will be responsible for supporting Di Bruno Bros. financial analysis initiatives throughout the organization. Your key focus will be on assisting with the preparation and reporting of the monthly financial results, detailed financial analysis, inventory management, and database management.  You will be asked to compile, report and analyze data from various sources and communicate analysis across levels of the organization and to appropriate key stakeholders. In this role you may work on Special Projects and ad hoc assignments as directed by the President and Senior Management.

    Responsibilities

    1. Provide superior customer service as defined by Di Bruno Bros. within the scope of Company policy.
    2. Prepare and provide SKU level analytics on sales, theoretical margin, actual margin, purchases and shrink.
    3. Manage retail inventory process and POS systems by auditing, reconciling, posting, finalizing inventory for 5 retail locations.
    4. Manage transfer and shrink process for 5 retail stores.
    5. Provide trend and variance analysis on retail expense lines.
    6. Focus on improving finance reporting, analysis and accuracy of inventory taken by operations.
    7. Performs routine analysis in support of various financial functions such as budgeting; auditing; and forecasting. Analysis of company initiatives including spend and results driven. 
    8. Maintain SQL connections and queries to improve retail inventory systems and improve finance reporting. Creates; maintains; and updates financial databases and spreadsheets; and generates various financial reports as required.
    9. Financial responsibilities during period close as assigned.
    10. Prepares financial analyses and reports for presentation to senior management.
    11. Supports assigned managers in managing; tracking; monitoring; and reporting financial data as requested. 
    12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws; regulations; policies; and procedures.
    13. Additional duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other applicable field required; Master Degree preferred
    • 5+ years of financial analysis or database management experience required.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Ability to be a leader in solving complex problems
    • Strong prioritization skills: comfortable working on multiple initiatives

     

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Advanced excel
    • SQL database management / query writing
    • Detailed financial analysis experience
    • Deep knowledge of inventory management and cost of goods calculations
    • Familiarity with finance or inventory databases
    • Retail experience, food experience
    • Ability to travel to other Philadelphia locations
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong organizational and planning skills
    • Strong problem solving, and financial analysis skills coupled with attention to detail
    • Experience with Microsoft Office with advanced level Excel skills (conditional formatting, data validation, pivot tables, formula writing and editing.)

    The performance of this position requires that the individual be able to travel occasionally between multiple business units. In performing this position, this individual will come into contact with the public and coworkers. Temperatures and lighting vary from business unit to business unit but are typically ambient in the office and retail areas, warm and well-lit in kitchen areas and well-lit but seasonally warm or cool in the warehouse areas.
