Summary of Responsibilities

As a Philadelphia institution recognized for its culinary delights and shopping experience, Di Bruno Bros. is looking for great people to join us as we celebrate great food, great people and great business.  Our Recruiter position offers the successful incumbent an opportunity to make a difference and grow professionally as he/she helps the company grow.  The incumbent will:

  • Source and identify top talent for staffing non-exempt and exempt needs and fueling the company’s growth. 
  • Provide recruitment support and advice to management
  • Build the pipeline for succession planning
  • Proactively offer recommendations for streamlining processes, improving results and supporting managers in their talent acquisition endeavors.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

World Class Recruiting

  • Will work closely with hiring managers to validate hiring needs, candidate requirements and create / edit position descriptions
  • Recommending and implementing projects to streamline recruiting operations, empower managers in the recruiting process and improve our talent pipeline
  • Sourcing candidates through internal and external postings, social media and networking with local and regional institutions. 
  • Managing the Applicant Tracking System (ICIMS)Screen
  • Scheduling and conducting interviews as needed
  • Administering and tracking required testing as needed
  • Employment verifications, reference and background checks (including MVR) as necessary
  • Collaborate with managers to create and extend employment offers
  • Completion of  pre-employment and on-boarding tasksConduct new hire orientation
  • Assist with other training activities, as needed
  • Attend recruitment events  

Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Human Resources or Business degree preferred
  • SHRM or other HR certification preferred
  • 4+ years recruiting experience, retail experience highly preferred
  • Proven ability to utilize social media for candidate sourcing
  • Experience in creating alliances with local sources of talent, for example, colleges and trade schools
  • Experience in working with outside recruiters
  • 2+ years experience as subject matter expert in an applicant tracking system (ATS); ICIMS highly preferred
  • Adept at utilizing HRIS system; ADP highly preferred
  • Proven success in developing at least one recruiting pipeline
  • Highly organized; ability to manage large amounts of manual and electronic information
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and follow up
  • Ability to influence others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive Human Resources issues
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Responsive to internal and external clients
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work additional hours as business requires
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
  • Ability to occasionally travel to various local business units as required

This position will require that the individual travel occasionally between various business units. The performance of this position requires that the individual come into contact with both co-workers and the public. Room temperatures and lighting in the office areas are ambient for the most part.
