Overview

The primary purpose of the Cash Office Associate is to enter data into the POS and Back Office systems. This individual will be responsible for cash handling, data entry, producing and distributing reports, cashiering and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide superior customer service as defined by Di Bruno Bros. within the scope of Company policy.
  2. Perform cashier reconciliation, cash handling and daily cash balancing, communicating all variances to management
  3. Ensure the maintenance of accurate and efficient databases and a smooth flow of information throughout the store and Company
  4. Answer customer service calls and assist customers as necessary
  5. Responsible for both daily and weekly financial reporting
  6. Track all money going in to and out of the store safe
  7. Responsible for maintenance of shelf tags
  8. Perform scanning and pricing verifications
  9. Enter interdepartmental transfers, inventory data and shrink data
  10. Responsible for database management in BR Data, Smart X and Chef Tec
  11. Responsible for production and distribution of store signage
  12. Schedule maintenance
  13. Assist in the development and update of order guides
  14. Shelf schematics
  15. Provide retail/cashiering support as required
  16. Other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree with a concentration in business and 1-3 years of cash handling experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of BR Data, Chef Tec, Scanmaster, Quick Books and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, vendors, employees and co-workers
  • Ability to read and write accurately and clearly to complete all documentation and record keeping
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain organization while multi-tasking and prioritizing and ability to meet daily, weekly and fiscal period deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, based on the needs of the team and the store

The performance of this position requires that the Associate come into contact with co-workers and the public. For the most part, ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment is found as in a typical retail store.  Hallways around the kitchen area may be slippery.
