    This position is located at our Rittenhouse Square location.

     

    This individual is responsible for ensuring that we exceed customer expectations, communicate with our team members, and meet both Company and departmental objectives.

     

    The primary purpose of the Prep Cook is to assist the Culinary Team with production of food items. The Prep Cook is responsible for assisting the Kitchen Management team in maintaining superior standards of operations in the areas of food quality, cleanliness, and consistency. They will utilize their knife skills and experience working with kitchen equipment to support the daily production of fresh ingredients.

     

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    1. Prepares food according to Di Bruno recipes and productions standards to ensure proper quality and specifications at all times
    2. Complete prep lists according to company specifications and recipes in a timely manner
    3. Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner
    4. Demonstrate strong communication skills with peers and collaborate with team members
    5. Practice safe operating procedures of all equipment, utensils and machinery
    6. Takes a proactive role in keeping all back of house areas clean and sanitary, within the cleanliness guidelines set forth by local health authorities and Di Bruno’s management team
    7. Responsible for following HACCP procedures and practices
    8. Utilize safety training in lifting, carrying, hazardous material control, chemical control, first aid and CPR
    9. Additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a high-volume food industry setting
    • Experience with knives in culinary environment
    • Flexible schedule; nights and weekends required
    • Solid organizational skills
    • Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on product consistency
    • Ability to communicate as needed with customers, superiors, and peers
    • Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation
    • Ability to move or handle product and supplies throughout the store
    • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
