The primary purpose of the Sandwich and Salad Team Member is to assist the Culinary Team with production, preparation, and packaging of food items, almost exclusively sandwiches and salads. This individual is responsible for ensuring that we exceed customer expectations, communicate with our team members, and meet both Company and departmental objectives

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. In a timely fashion, organize, prepare, and fill food orders according to company specifications and recipes
  2. Follow SOPs and standardized recipes in order to consistently prepare quality products; specifically, salads and sandwiches for timely delivery to retail stores and for catering events
  3. Establish and maintain production pace, by beginning and completing each sandwich and salad with exactness, according to a strict time schedule
  4. Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner
  5. Demonstrate strong communication skills with peers and collaborate with team members
  6. Complete production lists according to company specifications and recipes in a timely manner
  7. Proficiency in completing production lists according to company specifications and recipes in a timely manner
  8. Perform closing procedures, including cleaning stations, storing food items to maintain freshness and leaving the department ready for tasks to take place the next shift
  9. Practice safe operating procedures of all equipment, utensils and machinery
  10. Utilize safety training in lifting, carrying, hazardous material control, chemical control, first aid and CPR
  11. Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with knives in culinary environment
  • Flexible schedule; nights and weekends required
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate as needed with customers, superiors, and peers
  • Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation
  • Ability to move or handle product and supplies
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
