The Dispatch Driver is responsible for utilizing vans, for delivery within the Philadelphia Metro Region. The Driver ensures that every interaction with Di Bruno Bros.’ clients, both internal and external, exceed their expectation of the Di Bruno Bros.’ experience. This individual ensures that orders are ready for delivery, loads deliveries in to Company vehicles or transportation devices and executes delivery to the client.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Product Delivery

  1. Ensure that product deliveries are executed in a timely manner and to customer specifications
  2. Communicate any changes or needs to the Dispatch Manager; collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers
  3. Bring any customer issues to the attention of the Dispatch Manager
  4. Ensure product quality is maintained during loading, transport and unloading at customer site
  5. Ensure that product deliveries are executed in a timely manner and to customer specifications
  6. Find timely solutions to issues that may occur when delivering orders
  7. Serves as an ambassador for the company brand at all times, including when driving in traffic, interacting with customers and all others in the general public
  8. Maintain customer satisfaction through adherence to policies and continually exceeding customer expectations

 

Operations

  1. Organize and maintain Catering and Dispatch equipment and storage areas
  2. Complete side work and cleaning duties as assigned by the Dispatch Manager
  3. Assist the customer in receiving and storing any product being delivered
  4. Maintain cleanliness and order of all Company vehicles; communicate maintenance issues to Dispatch Manager
  5. Immediately report any accidents or violations to Dispatch Manager
  6. Maintain Standard Operation Procedures for presentation and packaging standards
  7. Maintain cleanliness of all carts, totes and racks used for delivery. This equipment should be cleaned and sanitized daily and power washed on a regular basis as scheduled by the Dispatch Manager.
  8. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and help instill that same attitude within entire team
  9. Perform job duties in a manner consistent with Di Bruno Bros.’ philosophy by maximizing productivity and customer service
  10. Understand and follow all Dispatch SOPs

 

Safety

  1. Adhere to all relevant safety protocols, procedures and policies related to driver and vehicle safety
  2. Report all incidents and accidents immediately, per procedure
  3. Report all issues related to vehicle safety
  4. Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a valid (unexpired) driver’s license and be able and willing to drive Company vehicles including large vans and box trucks
  • Minimum of 3 years’ driving experience
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle background check and drug and alcohol screening
  • Knowledge of Center City, Philadelphia and surrounding areas
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and fellow Associates
  • Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills and close attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to move or handle up to 50 lbs. of product and orders without help; up to 100 lbs of product and orders with assistance
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to find timely solutions to issues that can occur when delivering orders
  • Interpersonal skills for interacting with both internal and external customers
